The Oppo F17-series were announced last month but to celebrate the Diwali festival in India, the F17 Pro gets a new paint job with a couple of other bonuses in the retail package. Specs-wise, the handset is identical to the already available Magic Blue, Matte Black and Metallic White colors. For INR 1,000 more, making a total of INR 23,990, the Diwali edition comes in Matte Gold color along with a matching wallpaper. Treble is a major initiative designed to reduce Android platform version and security patch fragmentation , and all Android-branded devices launching with Android Pie are required to support Project Treble. OEMs and vendors test Treble compatibility by booting a Generic System Image (GSI)—a pure stock build of Android from AOSP—and passing the Vendor Test Suite (VTS) and Compatibility Test Suite-on-Generic System Image (CTS-on-GSI).
