OnePlus 8 series Indian launch delayed

OnePlus is still not ready to start the general sales of its 8-series phones in India. The company issued a statement in the official OnePlus forum which explains its production facilities were halted temporarily and this will lead to a delay in the start of the official sales. The new release schedule will be announced soon. Although we were looking to have 29th May as our open sales date for the OnePlus 8 Series, due to unforeseen circumstances, our production was temporarily halted last week and has altered our sales plan. Treble is a major initiative designed to reduce Android platform version and security patch fragmentation , and all Android-branded devices launching with Android Pie are required to support Project Treble. OEMs and vendors test Treble compatibility by booting a Generic System Image (GSI)—a pure stock build of Android from AOSP—and passing the Vendor Test Suite (VTS) and Compatibility Test Suite-on-Generic System Image (CTS-on-GSI). The OnePlus 8T announced last week is now available for purchase in the US through OnePlus' online store with two color options - Lunar Silver and Aquamarine Green.
