LG's crazy Wing dual rotating screen smartphone to cost around $1,000, new video out

A couple of days ago a leaked hands-on video showed the upcoming LG Wing in action for a few seconds, with its weird T shape and rotating form factor. Today, a new video is out, this time showing us what gaming will be like on this unique device. The Wing has a main screen that rotates into landscape mode to reveal a smaller secondary panel under it and create that T shape. The main display is rumored to be 6.8", while the smaller one is around 4". According to an unnamed source, the Wing will be priced at around $1,000 when it launches in the US this fall. OnePlus 6 mod enables 70Hz screen refresh rate for smoother browsing

One of the hottest trends of 2019 and upcoming 2020 devices is high refresh rate displays. While Sharp had been playing around with such displays for a long time, Razer was the first OEM to put out a phone with a 120Hz LCD display in the western market. It didn’t immediately catch on, but other OEMs started slowly playing around with it, including ASUS. OnePlus was responsible for reviving the concept again with the OnePlus 7 Pro and its 90Hz AMOLED display , and ASUS released the ROG Phone II with a first-of-its-kind 120Hz AMOLED display. Alongside the release of Android 8.0 Oreo, Google unveiled Project Treble : a major rearchitecting in the way the Android OS framework and the vendor HALs and Linux kernel communicate. Treble is a major initiative designed to reduce Android platform version and security patch fragmentation , and all Android-branded devices launching with Android Pie are required to support Project Treble. OEMs and vendors test Treble compatibility by booting a Generic System Image (GSI)—a pure stock build of Android from AOSP—and passing the Vendor Test Suite (VTS) and Compatibility Test Suite-on-Generic System Image (CTS-on-GSI). The GSI has proven useful in not only allowing software engineers working for OEMs test Treble compatibility, but it has also opened the door for a large custom ROM community on XDA.
