Redmi 9A launching in India on September 2 alongside new wired earphones

The Redmi 9A will be introduced to the Indian market on September 2 at 12 noon local time. The phone’s landing page on Amazon India is already live and reveals first sales will begin on September 4. This will be the third Redmi 9 phone to launch in India after the Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9. The Redmi 9A features a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD, MediaTek Helio G25 chipset and 5,000 mAh battery. Treble is a major initiative designed to reduce Android platform version and security patch fragmentation , and all Android-branded devices launching with Android Pie are required to support Project Treble. OEMs and vendors test Treble compatibility by booting a Generic System Image (GSI)—a pure stock build of Android from AOSP—and passing the Vendor Test Suite (VTS) and Compatibility Test Suite-on-Generic System Image (CTS-on-GSI).
