OxygenOS Open Beta 27/25/13/5 rolls out for the OnePlus 5/5T/6/6T
Another day, another system update from OnePlus. The OxygenOS Open Beta channels are designed to let users experience the latest features and give feedback on them before they go live in the stable build. Yesterday, OnePlus announced new Open Beta builds for the OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T. Here’s what was updated.
OxygenOS Open Beta 27 and 25 for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T
The update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T are coming in as OxygenOS Open Beta 27 and 25, respectively. The updates include enhancements to the gaming mode, present on both of these devices, but the changelog doesn’t specify what those enhancements are. You can now see weather information next to the world clocks you have displayed in the Clock application. The full changelog is below.

OxygenOS Open Beta 13 and 5 for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T
The changelogs for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T aren’t that verbose, either. The builds are versioned as Open Beta 13 and 5, respectively. All these updates include overall improvements to the stability of various components of the system. Video calling stability, which is powered by Google Duo, have also been improved. See the full changelog below.

It goes without saying that these updates are meant to enhance the overall experience for the beta users. They aren’t meant to add anything new. The updates are already out for those who are in OxygenOS Open Beta program and they should receive an OTA notification soon. If you aren’t and would like to switch from the Stable branch to the Open Beta branch, OnePlus has installation instructions to help you out. Keep in mind that moving back to Stable will require a full data wipe.
