Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Redmi Note 6 Pro get official TWRP support

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was one of the most unique smartphones of 2018. It is the first Android smartphone to feature a slider design, which gave it the ability to maximize the screen-to-body ratio at 93.4%. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, on the other hand, was not so unique. The Redmi Note 6 Pro was basically a Redmi Note 5 Pro, but with a notch. The Mi Mix 3 comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box while the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with Android 8.1 Oreo, but the stock MIUI 10 isn’t for everyone. Xiaomi devices have always had a strong development community on the XDA forums, and the Mi Mix 3 and Redmi Note 6 Pro aren’t expected to be any different.

Flashing custom ROMs, kernels, and other mods for these devices have just become safer. The official version of TWRP is now available for Mi Mix 3 and Redmi Note 6 Pro. As always, you will need the right USB drivers installed on your PC if you’re using Windows and the ADB/Fastboot tools before you start the procedure, so make sure to keep them handy.
